Pokémon TCG Pocket Celestial Guardians Expansion Launches April 30th, 2025
The Pokémon Company has officially revealed the next major expansion for its mobile trading card game, Pokémon TCG Pocket — and it’s taking us back to the radiant shores of the Alola region!
Titled Celestial Guardians, this new set is scheduled to launch on April 30th, 2025, and brings with it a wave of beautiful new cards inspired by Pokémon Sun and Moon. Fans of the Alola region will be thrilled to know that the Legendary Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala are taking center stage in this release.
What to Expect from Celestial Guardians
As with previous expansions in Pokémon TCG Pocket, Celestial Guardians will include a mix of classic and new mechanics, along with eye-catching card art optimized for mobile collectors and battlers.
Here’s a peek at what’s coming:
- Legendary Spotlight: Solgaleo and Lunala appear in powerful new cards that reflect their celestial themes.
- Alola Region Favorites: Expect cards featuring Alolan forms and popular Pokémon from the region such as Rowlet, Lycanroc, Alolan Vulpix, and more.
- Visual Variety: Like all Pocket sets, this expansion will likely feature multiple card art styles, including the rare and collectible “immersive” and “reverse motion” designs that players have come to love.
When and Where
The Celestial Guardians expansion will be available in Pokémon TCG Pocket on April 30th, 2025, accessible worldwide on both iOS and Android. As always, players will be able to open two booster packs per day for free, and additional packs can be unlocked through gameplay or in-app purchases.
