The next English Pokémon TCG Set “Chilling Reign” has been revealed weeks ago.
This set will include eight Pokémon VMAX, 15 Pokémon V, 28 Trainer cards, 13 Full Art Supporter cards and 3 new special Energy cards. In total there will be over 190 cards in this set.
Just recently the product images for Chilling Reign have been revealed. Let’s firstly take a look at what the booster packs will look like. This is one of the few times a set has featured five different booster pack designs, the last time was for Pokémon Sun and Moon.
As the same was with Battle Styles there will be no theme decks for Chilling Reign, but honestly I don’t see this as a big loss at all. This is just further evidence that they are no longer. We do however have the Build and Battle box coming out which seems to be more popular than the battle decks were anyway.
Here’s a look at what else will be released!
Chilling Reign will most likely be comprised of the Japanese sets S5a Matchless Fighters, S6h Silver Lance and S6K Jet-Black Spirit. The S6 twin sets have yet to be fully revealed however based on what we know about them so far there is likely to be 3 Pokémon V and 1 Pokémon VMAX will be bumped from Chilling Reign to our August set or the 25th anniversary set that will come out in October. Chilling Reign will be coming out on June 18th.
