Watch Your Wallets, Trainers: The Geodude Playground Park in Iwate Prefecture is Now Open for Business
Well, looks like the Pokemon Company has done it again. They’ve opened yet another playground park in Japan, this time featuring everyone’s favorite rocky friend, Geodude. I mean, we already had the Slowpoke Playground in Kagawa Prefecture, so why not add another one to the mix, right?
The Geodude Playground Park is located in Iwate Prefecture’s Kuji City, and it’s filled with playground equipment and statues featuring rock-type Pokemon like Geodude, Onix, and Aerodactyl. And if that isn’t exciting enough, visitors to the park will have a higher chance of encountering Geodude while playing Pokemon GO. Because, you know, we all need more Geodude in our lives.

But wait, there’s more! You can also take AR pictures of Geodude using GO Snapshot. And if you’re a Pokemon GO player, you’ll be happy to know that the structures in the park will appear as Pokestops, so you can stock up on postcards and other items. And if you need a break from all the Pokemon catching, the roadside station building near the park will be selling Pokemon merch and drinks.

I mean, who doesn’t love a good themed drink, am I right? But let’s be real, this Geodude Playground Park is just another way for the Pokemon Company to take our money. I mean, I’m all for cute and fun Pokemon-themed playgrounds, but do we really need two of them?
But hey, if you’re in the area and you’re a die-hard Geodude fan, then by all means, check out the Geodude Playground Park. Just don’t blame me when you’re broke from buying all the Pokemon merch and drinks.
In conclusion, the Geodude Playground Park is now open, and it’s filled with all sorts of fun Pokemon-themed activities. But let’s not forget that this is just another way for the Pokemon Company to take our money. So, catch ’em all if you want, but watch your wallet while you’re at it.
