Mightiest Mark Serperior Tera Raid Event Returns

Mightiest Mark Serperior Tera Raid Event Returns for Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

The Pokémon Company has launched another special 7★ Tera Raid event for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.

From now until April 9th, players can once again challenge a powerful Serperior with the Grass Tera Type. Like other 7★ events, this Serperior can only be caught once per save file and will come with the exclusive Mightiest Mark.

Even after catching it, players can continue battling the raid to farm rewards such as Ability Patches, rare candies, Herba Mystica, and Grass Tera Shards.

Best Pokémon to Use Against Grass Tera Serperior

Since Serperior is a pure Grass Tera Type, it is weak to Fire, Flying, Ice, Bug, and Poison attacks. However, Serperior is also very fast and often uses moves such as Leaf Storm, Glare, and Dragon Pulse, so players will want Pokémon that can both survive and hit hard.

The following Pokémon are among the best counters:

  • Skeledirge
One of the safest solo options thanks to its bulk and Torch Song. Skeledirge can steadily boost its Special Attack while resisting Grass-type moves.
  • Ceruledge
Ceruledge can deal huge damage with Bitter Blade while healing itself at the same time, making it excellent for longer fights.
  • Iron Moth
Its Fire and Poison typing gives it two ways to hit Serperior super effectively. Fiery Dance and Sludge Wave are especially useful.
  • Volcarona
Volcarona is another strong choice thanks to Quiver Dance, which can quickly turn it into a powerful sweeper.
  • Moltres
Moltres resists many of Serperior’s attacks and can strike back with strong Fire or Flying-type moves.

Recommended Strategy

For solo players, Skeledirge is likely the easiest and most reliable choice:

  1. Use Torch Song repeatedly to boost Special Attack.
  2. Use Slack Off or Shell Bell to stay healthy.
  3. Terastallize into Fire-type as soon as possible.
  4. Continue using Torch Song until Serperior is defeated.

For online groups, a combination of support and attackers works best. One player can use a support Pokémon such as Umbreon or Grimmsnarl to lower Serperior’s stats and set up screens, while other players use Fire-type attackers.

Suggested Moves

  • Torch Song
  • Bitter Blade
  • Fiery Dance
  • Sludge Wave
  • Sunny Day
  • Helping Hand

Serperior’s Mightiest Mark event only lasts until April 9th, so Trainers should make sure to challenge it before time runs out.
