Unveiling the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero: The Latest Pokemon DLC Adventure

In the recent Nintendo Direct stream, Pokemon enthusiasts were treated to an exciting new trailer showcasing the upcoming DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet titled “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero.” This highly anticipated expansion introduces players to a wealth of new content and features, including new Pokemon and captivating locations. Let’s delve into what this DLC has in store for trainers eager to embark on their next adventure.

New Pokemon Discoveries

One of the highlights of “The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” is the introduction of three new Pokemon: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. While initial reactions from fans have been mixed, it’s important to note that these additions may appeal to younger players. However, with the adult market representing a significant portion of Pokemon enthusiasts, there is hope for more diverse and exciting Pokemon in future DLC updates.

Version-Specific Pokemon

Similar to the base games, the DLC update features version-specific Pokemon. Depending on whether you have Pokemon Scarlet or Violet, certain Pokemon will be exclusive to each version. While the full list of exclusive Pokemon is yet to be revealed, we know that Gligar will be available in the Scarlet variant and Aipom in the Violet variant. This encourages trading and cooperation among players to complete their Pokedex and catch ’em all.

New Characters and Locations

The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero” introduces two new characters you’ll encounter during your journey at the Blueberry Academy. Meet Cyrano, the director and founder of the academy, and Lacy, a second-year student who will assist you throughout the DLC. Additionally, players will explore Mossui Town in the land of Kitakami, acting as the base of operations during the school trip. The town features a vibrant community center, a charming toy shop, and picturesque fields and rice paddies just outside town.

The Terarium: An Undersea Facility

Part 2 of the DLC, titled “The Indigo Disk,” takes players to the renowned Blueberry Academy, where they’ll study abroad. Within the academy lies the Terarium, an incredible undersea facility that houses a variety of artificial biomes. Each area within the Terarium boasts unique climates and ecosystems, carefully regulated for the comfort and survival of the resident Pokemon. Trainers will have the opportunity to explore these distinct areas and encounter different Pokemon in each one.
