The following changes have been made in Pokemon Go due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation:
Abra Community Day has been posponed.
Until further notice:
- You will find a one-time purchase bundle of 30 Incense in the in-game Shop for 1 PokéCoin. Incense will also last for one hour.
- 1/2 Hatch Distance when Eggs are placed into Incubators during this time period
- PokéStops will now drop Gifts more frequently
- Pokémon habitats will increase and more Pokémon will be appearing in the wild
- Trainers won’t be able to receive invites to new EX Raids.
The walking requirement in GO Battle League to unlock sets has been removed.
In Trainer Battles, you may send a challenge invite to a Good Friend.
Raid Hours have been cancelled.
The Pokemon GO Safari Zone events in Liverpool, UK; St. Louis, USA & Philadelphia, USA have been postponed. Tickets will be refunded if requested by Trainers. If you do not request a refund, you will be able to use your existing ticket for the rescheduled Safari Zone.
Pokemon Spotlight Hour and Mystery Bonus Hour are still happening.
Cobalion and Lugia will be available for a longer time in Raid Battles.
- Cobalion will be available from Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. to Monday, March 23, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT. You’ll also have a chance to encounter Cobalion as a GO Battle League reward encounter during this time.
- Lugia will be available from Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. to Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. PDT. You’ll also have a chance to encounter Lugia as a GO Battle League reward encounter during this time.
The Special Research story “A Drive To Investigate” has been designed to be playable without group gameplay.
