Pokémon HOME Adds New Medal Feature

The Pokémon Company has rolled out a brand-new feature for Pokémon HOME, giving trainers a fresh way to commemorate milestones and share memories with friends — introducing Medals!

What Are Medals?

Medals are a new collectible feature available in the smartphone version of Pokémon HOME. They serve as virtual keepsakes tied to your Pokémon journey, which can be earned through in-game achievements or by attending special real-world Pokémon events.

But they’re more than just souvenirs. Medals can be:

  • Traded or gifted to other players
  • Collected in various types and languages
  • Used to represent personal memories or special experiences within the Pokémon community

Whether you earned it by attending a local event, completing a challenge, or trading with a friend overseas, each medal tells a story.

How to Use Medals

In order to use medals, you will need to link your smartphone version of Pokémon HOME to your Nintendo Account.

Storage Limits

How many medals can you collect? That depends on your Pokémon HOME plan:

  • Free users: Up to 30 medals
  • Premium Plan users (paid): Up to 1,000 medals

You can increase the number of medals you can hold by subscribing to the Premium Plan (for a fee).

Starting Gift

To celebrate the launch, all current users will receive 3 copies of a starter trio medal, featuring one of the nine regional starter sets. The idea is to encourage players to trade and gift their extra medals with others, fostering more community connection within the app.
