Pokémon HOME Now Compatible With Pokémon Legends: Z-A, Alpha Starter Gifts Available
The Pokémon Company has officially updated Pokémon HOME to add compatibility with Pokémon Legends: Z-A following the completion of planned maintenance.
Players can now transfer Pokémon between Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Pokémon HOME, allowing them to store their Pokémon in the cloud, move them between supported games, and begin building out their Pokémon HOME collection with creatures from Lumiose City and beyond.
To celebrate the new compatibility update, The Pokémon Company is also giving players a special set of bonus Pokémon.
Anyone who deposits at least one Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Z-A into Pokémon HOME will unlock three special Alpha Pokémon through the Mystery Gift feature in the mobile version of Pokémon HOME:
- Chikorita
- Tepig
- Totodile
All three arrive as Alpha Pokémon, making them larger and more powerful than usual. This is also the first time players can receive these particular Alpha starters through Pokémon HOME.
How to Claim the Alpha Starter Gifts
- Update both Pokémon HOME and Pokémon Legends: Z-A to the latest version.
- Deposit at least one Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Z-A into Pokémon HOME.
- Open the mobile version of Pokémon HOME.
- Go to the Mystery Gift menu.
- Claim your Alpha Chikorita, Alpha Tepig, and Alpha Totodile.
The gift can only be claimed through the mobile app version of Pokémon HOME, not through the Nintendo Switch version.
With Pokémon HOME support now live, players can finally begin transferring their favourite Pokémon from Pokémon Legends: Z-A into the wider Pokémon ecosystem, while also picking up three rare Alpha starters along the way.
