Pokémon Local Acts Plushies

Pokémon Local Acts Plushies Coming to Japan

Sanei Boeki has announced the release of the first wave of Pokémon Local Acts plushies, launching June 27, 2025. These plushies are part of the ongoing Pokémon Local Acts initiative, where specific Pokémon serve as ambassadors for different Japanese prefectures.

Each plush is approximately 20cm tall and will retail for 3,300 yen. However, there’s a catch — they’ll only be available at select retailers within their designated regions, making them exclusive and a bit tricky to collect for those outside the area.

Some of the featured Pokémon and their associated prefectures include:

  • Geodude – Iwate Prefecture
  • Lapras – Miyagi Prefecture
  • Chansey – Fukushima Prefecture

These plushies celebrate local pride and promote tourism by featuring Pokémon deeply tied to the culture and identity of each region.

For those planning to travel across Japan — or for dedicated collectors — be sure to visit the participating local retailers in each prefecture to pick up these limited-edition items. Don’t expect easy online access, as they are not widely sold outside their home areas.
