Pokémon Red & Green Game Music Collection

Pokémon Red & Green Game Music Collection with Game Boy Jukebox Announced

The Pokémon Company has revealed a unique piece of merchandise celebrating the franchise’s 30th anniversary — the Pokémon Red & Green Game Music Collection, a music player designed to look like the classic Nintendo Game Boy.

This collectible device functions as a retro-style jukebox, allowing fans to play iconic sound effects and music tracks from the original Pokémon games. The system uses swappable cartridges, with each cartridge containing different music tracks and sounds from the classic titles.

By inserting the cartridge and interacting with the device, fans can relive some of the most nostalgic audio from the original Pokémon Red and Green games, including battle themes, overworld music, and other memorable sound effects.

Pokémon Center Lottery Release in Japan

In Japan, the Game Boy music jukebox is being released through a lottery system at Pokémon Center stores, which is commonly used for highly anticipated or limited merchandise. Fans enter the lottery for a chance to purchase the item rather than buying it directly.

This system is often used for anniversary products and collectibles that are expected to sell out quickly.

Available Through Nintendo Online Australia

For fans outside Japan, there is some good news. The device is currently available through Nintendo Online Australia, meaning Australian fans can still purchase one without needing to enter the Japanese lottery.

To buy it, you simply need a Nintendo account with an active membership to log in to the store. The item is priced at $110 AUD with free postage, which is a far more reasonable option compared to the inflated prices already appearing on resale sites.

So if you’re interested in picking one up, it might be worth jumping onto the official Nintendo store sooner rather than later — and don’t let the scalpers online get you!

A trailer for the Pokémon Red & Green Game Music Collection has also been released, showing the device in action and giving fans a closer look at this nostalgic tribute to the original Pokémon games.
