Pokémon Scarlet/Violet Golden Week 2025 Tera Raid & Mass Outbreak Events Now Live
To celebrate Japan’s Golden Week 2025, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are rolling out some exciting in-game events — including a returning Tera Raid battle and new Mass Outbreaks with boosted Shiny odds!
Gimmighoul Tera Raid Returns (With Shiny Possibility!)
From now until May 8th, 2025, players can once again take on the Gimmighoul Tera Raid Event, giving them another shot at catching this elusive Coin Chest Pokémon in a high-difficulty raid. As with its previous run, there’s a very slim chance to encounter a Shiny Gimmighoul, making this still the only known method to obtain its Shiny form.
If you’re hunting shinies or just love Gimmighoul’s treasure-hoarding vibes, now’s the time to gather your team and take on the challenge.
Golden-Themed Shiny Mass Outbreaks
In addition to the raid, there will be special Mass Outbreak events across Paldea, Kitakami, and the Terarium, focusing on Pokémon with yellow or gold-colored Shiny forms — a perfect nod to Golden Week! Expect increased shiny odds for:
- Wiglett – Outbreaks in Paldea
- Growlithe (Hisuian) – Outbreaks in Kitakami
- Swablu – Outbreaks in the Terarium
Golden Week is one of Japan’s biggest holiday seasons, and this themed event is a fun way for trainers around the world to join in the celebration — and hopefully snag a few golden shinies while they’re at it.
