A new update is coming with new levels, Pokémon and gameplay!
Just like with Sword and Shield the Pokémon Company has announced a new update (really I’d call it a DLC if anything) that will add extra stuff to our Pokémon Snap games. This update has a big surprise, we have new levels, new secret paths, new Pokémon and a new Neo-One ability. In total there will be 20 new Pokémon added and 3 new levels.
The new levels are:
- Day & Night version of Florio Island Nature Park
- Day & Night version of the Mightywide River (sooooo similar to the OG one right!!!!)
- Day & Night version of the Barren Wilderness (similar to the OG canyon level)
I really love that they went back to the original and brought back some of the features. If you watch the trailer below on the river level the Metapod drop down from the over hanging trees, man this brings back so many memories for me. I think the new Pokémon Snap is going to be one of the best Pokémon Games yet.

The newest thing to Pokémon Snap is the ability to shrink your Neo-One and to be able to see the Pokémon world from a whole new level. You can get up close and personal with the Pokémon, to get the best snaps. I think this additional is a breathe of fresh air. It hasn’t been said which levels will have this ability, looks like we will have to find out for ourselves.

How super cute is the Mew, reminds me of the final level of the Nintendo 64 Pokémon Snap, ooooo00oo Memories!
The release date for the update is August 4th, so don’t forget to connect to the internet and update your game on your switch on or after this date.
