Chaos Rising TCG Set Revealed — Pokémon Center ETB Confirmed, Pre-Orders Rolling Out
The Pokémon Trading Card Game’s upcoming English expansion Chaos Rising has officially been revealed, bringing a strong focus on Mega Evolution Pokémon to the next wave of releases. Headlined by Mega Greninja ex, the set is scheduled to launch on May 22, 2026, with prerelease events taking place from May 9 through May 17.
As excitement builds among players and collectors, pre-orders for several Chaos Rising products have now begun appearing at retailers. However, one major item — the Pokémon Center-exclusive Elite Trainer Box — has been confirmed but is not yet available for pre-order on the Pokémon Center Online store at the time of writing.
A Compact Mega Evolution Expansion
Chaos Rising continues the recent trend of smaller English TCG sets, with a total card count of around 122 cards. The expansion closely mirrors Japan’s Ninja Spinner set, which also features a streamlined release structure focused on a single core expansion.
The set will highlight multiple Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards, including:
- Mega Greninja ex
- Mega Pyroar ex
- Mega Floette ex
- Mega Dragalge ex
- A likely Mega Gallade ex promotional card

In addition, the set is expected to include:
- More than 20 Trainer cards
- 11 Illustration Rare Pokémon
- 18 Ultra Rare Pokémon and Trainer cards
- Six Special Illustration Rare cards
Elite Trainer Box Promo Details
Fennekin’s Illustration Rare artwork has been confirmed as the Elite Trainer Box promotional card for Chaos Rising. This means it will not appear in booster packs and will instead be included exclusively with ETB products.
Confirmed Chaos Rising Products So Far
Pre-orders have begun appearing for several Chaos Rising products, including:
- Pokémon TCG Mega Zygarde ex Premium Collection
- Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution Chaos Rising 3-Booster Blister
- Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution Chaos Rising Booster
- Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution Chaos Rising Booster Bundle
- Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution Chaos Rising Elite Trainer Box

A Pokémon Center-exclusive Elite Trainer Box version has also been confirmed as part of the release lineup. However, this version is not yet listed for pre-order on Pokémon Center Online, so fans should keep an eye on the store for updates.

Looking Ahead to Release
With Mega Evolution continuing to shape the current competitive and collectible landscape of the Pokémon TCG, Chaos Rising is shaping up to be a focused but highly anticipated expansion.
More card reveals, product details, and preorder availability updates are expected in the coming weeks as the prerelease window approaches. Fans hoping to secure the Pokémon Center edition ETB in particular may need to act quickly once listings go live.
