Card gifting, expanded trading, and Mega Pokémon coming soon
The Pokémon Company has released a new Producer Letter for Pokémon TCG Pocket, outlining several upcoming updates and quality-of-life improvements for players.
Among the highlights is the introduction of a new share feature that will allow trainers to gift cards to friends. Players will be able to send one card per day to each friend, and likewise, select and receive one shared card per day in return. This feature will apply to cards ranging from ♢ to ♢♢♢♢ rarities, making it easier for players to help each other complete their collections.
Expanded Trading Options
The trading system is also being expanded to include newer booster packs and a wider range of card rarities. In addition to standard cards of ♢–♢♢♢♢ and ⭐︎1 rarities, the update will make ⭐︎2, Shiny 1, and Shiny 2 cards eligible for trading — giving players more flexibility and opportunities to obtain rare cards.
Wonder Pick Enhancements
The Wonder Pick feature will also receive several improvements, including:
- Cards from the latest expansion appearing more frequently if you haven’t collected them yet.
- Displaying how many copies of each card you currently own, helping collectors track duplicates more efficiently.
Mega Evolution Expansion Coming
Finally, the Producer Letter teased a major update coming at the end of October, featuring the debut of Mega Evolution Pokémon in Pokémon TCG Pocket. This expansion will introduce new mechanics and visuals inspired by the Mega Evolution battles from the mainline games, bringing even more depth to the mobile TCG experience.
With these updates, Pokémon TCG Pocket continues to evolve into a more community-driven and feature-rich experience for collectors and battlers alike.
