
Exciting Details Revealed for Pokemon World Championships 2023 in Yokohama
The Pokemon Company Japan has recently unveiled more information about the highly anticipated Pokemon World Championships 2023 set to take place in Yokohama. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before, with an array of special activities and festivities lined up for attendees. From August 8th to August 14th, the Pokemon World Championships will be a hub of excitement and celebration.
The Championships will feature various competitive events, including Video Game, Trading Card Game, Pokemon GO, and Pokemon UNITE tournaments. Trainers from around the world will gather to showcase their skills and compete for glory in these different disciplines. Each tournament will adhere to specific rule sets to ensure fair and balanced gameplay. For the Trading Card Game, the format will be Standard, with eligibility limited to Sword & Shield onwards: D Regulation Mark. Pokemon GO’s League Format will be Great League, with a maximum CP of 1500. Certain Pokemon, including Ditto, Shedinja, Galarian Articuno, Galarian Zapdos, and Galarian Moltres, will be banned from use.

Adding to the excitement, a Pokemon Center Pop-up Store will be available, offering a wide selection of merchandise. This special store will also feature two exclusive World Championships merchandise lines. Notably, collectors will be particularly intrigued by the limited edition Bear Walker wooden skateboard deck, a coveted item for any Pokemon enthusiast’s collection. For night-time entertainment, attendees can look forward to two spectacular live shows. “We Move” is a dance show held at Rinko Park featuring Pikachu and an awe-inspiring drone display. “Imagination! Into the Next!!” is a water show held at Reed Brick Park, showcasing projection mapping, Pikachu, and other mascots dancing.
