PokéPark Kanto

PokéPark Kanto: Japan’s First Permanent Outdoor Pokémon Adventure Set to Open in Spring 2026

The Pokémon Company has officially announced PokéPark Kanto, the franchise’s very first permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction, opening in Spring 2026 at Yomiuriland in Tokyo’s Tama Hills. The park spans a massive 26,000 m² (2.6 hectares) and will house over 600 Pokémon, offering fans an immersive adventure in the world of Pokémon.

What to Expect: Two Themed Zones

Pokémon Forest

A nearly 500‑metre long nature trail, designed to replicate wild habitats with terrain like tall grass, tunnels, rocky slopes, and forest clearings. Visitors will “encounter” Pokémon in lifelike settings—some towering overhead, others hiding in bushes or underground.

Sedge Town (Kayatsuri Town)

A charming town-like area where trainers and Pokémon coexist. Sedge Town includes:

  • Pokémon Center
  • Trainer’s Market and Poké Mart
  • Sedge Gym
  • The Primarina Fountain, a central gathering point
  • A Pokémon Parade and two themed rides

Tickets & Timeline

  • Opening: Spring 2026
  • Advance ticket sales: expected in Fall 2025

Collaboration & Legacy

PokéPark Kanto is a joint venture between The Pokémon Company, Yomiuri Land, and Yomiuri Shimbun Tokyo Company, creating a new hospitality company to operate the park. This builds on earlier collaborations like the Pokémon Wonder exhibit at Yomiuriland in 2021, merging education, nature, and entertainment under the Pokémon banner.
