PokéPark Kanto Opening February 5, 2026 at Yomiuriland

The Pokémon Company has confirmed that PokéPark Kanto, its first-ever permanent outdoor Pokémon attraction, will officially open on February 5, 2026, located within Yomiuriland in Tokyo’s Tama Hills.

What to Expect: Two Themed Areas

PokéPark Kanto spans approximately 2.6 hectares and is divided into two major zones:

  • Pokémon Forest: A 500-meter trail through natural terrain—hills, grass, tunnels—where guests can “observe” 600+ Pokémon.
  • Sedge Town (Kayatsuri Town): A town-themed area with a Pokémon Center, a Trainer’s Market, and attractions including a gym and themed rides.

Featured Attractions & Shows

Several attractions, shows, and character interactions have been announced:

  • Pika Pika Paradise: A ride powered by over 30 Electric-type Pokémon.
  • Vee Vee Voyage: A carousel featuring Eevee and its evolutions.
  • Live shows and parades including:
    • Pika Pika Sparks! — A stage show with Pikachu, performers, music, and light effects.
    • Pika Vee Bubble Parade — Parade of Pokémon like Pikachu and Eevee through Sedge Town.
    • Pokémon Playhouse — Daily Pokémon appearances, including Clefairy, Vulpix, Psyduck, Growlithe, Slowpoke, Gengar, Lapras, and Dragonite.
    • Pika Vee Playroom — Photo-friendly meet-and-greet with Pikachu and Eevee in special outfits, with free photo souvenirs in custom mounts.

Tickets & Pricing

  • Lottery Ticket Sales: Opens November 21, 2025 (18:00 JST) and runs until December 8, 2025, for visits between February 5 and March 31.
  • Ticket Types:
    • Trainer’s Pass: Entry to both Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town — ¥7,900 (adult, 13+)
    • Ace Trainer’s Pass: Unlimited Forest access + one ride on each Sedge Town attraction — ¥14,000 (adult)
  • Accessibility Note: Guests under age five or those unable to climb approximately 110 steps will be restricted from forest entry; a Town Pass (Sedge Town only) is planned for Summer 2026.

Additional Information

  • The park’s concept pays homage to the Kanto region from the original Pokémon games (Red & Green).
  • Official partner organizations for the park include Yomiuri Land Co., The Yomiuri Shimbun, and The Pokémon CompanY
  • A full reveal trailer for the park is available online, showcasing its themed zones, Pokémon, attractions, and shows

PokéPark Kanto promises to offer fans a deeply immersive outdoor Pokémon experience—combining nature, show entertainment, shopping, and character encounters in a way that hasn’t been done before. Watching the lottery ticket window (Nov 21–Dec 8) and planning ahead will be key for those wanting to be among the first visitors.
