Sceptile 7★ Tera Raid Returns in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

A previous Mighty Pokémon is back.
The 7★ Tera Raid Battle featuring Sceptile has returned in Pokémon Scarlet & Pokémon Violet for a limited time.

Players can challenge a Dragon Tera Type Sceptile right now, but only until February 26.

Event Availability

This is a rerun of the earlier event, giving players another chance if they missed it the first time.

Sceptile appears in black crystal raid dens and, like all 7★ raids, it is significantly harder than standard endgame raids.

Australian End Time

The event typically ends at:
10:59 AM AEDT (Sydney/Melbourne)
10:29 AM ACDT (Adelaide) — February 26

You can only catch Sceptile once per save file. After capturing it, you can still repeat the raid for rewards.

What Makes This Sceptile Special

This Sceptile comes with:

• Dragon Tera Type
• Level 100
• Perfect IVs
• The Mightiest Mark title

The Mightiest Mark gives it the in-game title “Sceptile the Unrivaled.”

Best Counters

Because Sceptile is normally a Grass-type but Terastallized into Dragon, its weaknesses change.
You should focus on Fairy, Ice, and Dragon attacks — but survivability matters just as much as damage in 7★ raids.

Recommended Pokémon

Azumarill
Still one of the safest raid Pokémon. With Huge Power and Play Rough, it can deal strong Fairy damage while surviving hits.

Sylveon
Great special attacker option. Calm Mind + Hyper Voice/Draining Kiss lets it stay alive while slowly wearing Sceptile down.

Iron Valiant
Very strong Fairy damage and can end the fight quickly in coordinated groups, though it’s less bulky.

Alolan Ninetales
Provides both Ice damage and Aurora Veil support, helping the entire team survive.

Helpful Strategy Tips

Sceptile is fast and frequently uses strong Grass and Dragon-type attacks. Many players lose this raid by fainting too quickly rather than running out of time.

Try to:

  • Bring high bulk Pokémon rather than glass cannons
  • Use cheers early (especially Defense Cheer)
  • Avoid bringing Water, Ground, or Rock Pokémon that take heavy damage
  • Coordinate with teammates if playing online

Rewards

After your first capture, repeat clears can still reward:

• Ability Patch
• Herba Mystica
• Exp Candy
• Tera Shards

If you missed Sceptile before, this is currently your only chance to obtain the Mightiest Mark version.

The raid disappears on February 26, so players don’t have long to challenge it.
