Pokémon Scarlet/Violet Shiny Koraidon And Miraidon In-Store Distribution Announced
The Pokémon Company has officially announced a new in-store distribution event for Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.
From September 26th to October 16th, 2025, fans will be able to visit participating physical retail stores to receive special distribution codes. These codes will allow players to redeem a Shiny Miraidon in Pokémon Scarlet and a Shiny Koraidon in Pokémon Violet.
Where to Get the Codes
The distribution has been confirmed for the following regions and stores:
- Japan: Various game retailers
- United States: GameStop
- Canada, Australia, New Zealand: EB Games
At this stage, no other countries or regions have been announced, though further details may be revealed closer to launch.
Why It’s Special
This marks the first official shiny distribution for the box legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Both Koraidon and Miraidon have been central to the story since launch, and shiny versions have not been available in normal gameplay. As such, this event will be a major draw for collectors and competitive players alike.
How It Works
Players who pick up a code at a participating store will need to:
- Launch Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet.
- Open the Poké Portal via the in-game menu.
- Select Mystery Gift.
- Choose Get with Code/Password and enter the distribution code.
- Watch as the gift arrives in-game, then save your progress.

This announcement follows recent Mystery Gift distributions such as the Shiny Treasures of Ruin Pokémon. With Koraidon and Miraidon now joining as shiny event exclusives, fans are wondering if future distributions could include other rare Legendary or Mythical Pokémon.
