Snorlax in deep slumber have been spotted around the world!
From May 28, 2019 at 6:00 pm until June 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm PDT you will be able to encounter Snorlax snoozing in the wild. Once you catch it, it will be standing up and awake as it normally is. You should photograph sleeping Snorlax during your encounter because it will be your only chance to do so. Also, sleeping Snorlax caught during this event will know the exclusive move Yawn.
My thoughts
Sleeping Snorlax is a tribute to the Snorlax you find blocking your path in the main Pokemon games. Snorlax with Yawn will be a novelty, for collection purposes, because the move Yawn deals zero damage and does not help Snorlax in any way. It does bring a nice photo opportunity, though!
