It has been announced to stores in the United Kingdom and Europe through email that the staff Promos for pre-releases will be discontinued after Vivid Voltage. This was sent out as an email from the TPCI, there was no explanation as to why this is.

Unfortunately there is no reason as to why this will only be discontinued in Europe, so it will more than likely be discontinued everywhere.

Over the years Staff Pre-release Promos have been scalped and sold for high prices, this could maybe be one of the reasons why they have stopped the Promos, but no one can say for sure.

Staff Promos were first given out for Diamond and Pearl prereleases in May 2007.

This will be sure to make the Vivid Voltage Staff Promos and other staff promos that have been released over the years sky rocket in price, especially Charizard.
