Pokémon Night Out Gives Fans a First Look at Its 30th Anniversary Celebration
Pokémon is taking its 30th anniversary celebrations somewhere a little different with Pokémon Night Out, an enormous live event combining the world of Pokémon with electronic dance music, cutting-edge visuals and live performances.
With the first events now getting closer, Pokémon has released a new preview showing fans what they can expect when Pokémon Night Out arrives in Los Angeles and London later this year.
Pokémon Meets EDM
Pokémon Night Out is being described as the ultimate fusion of electronic dance music and the Pokémon world.
Rather than being a traditional Pokémon event, the experience will use large-scale animation, technology and visual effects to bring Pokémon to life in a completely different way.
The official Pokémon Night Out website promises an immersive musical experience designed to give fans a new way to connect with the Pokémon brand.
And judging by the new teaser, it looks like Pokémon is going all-in on the neon, lights and high-energy atmosphere.
Two Huge Events Are Planned
Pokémon Night Out will take place at two major venues in 2026.
Los Angeles — October 24
The first event will take place at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, USA, on October 24, 2026.
London — November 10
The second event will head across the Atlantic to The O2 Arena in London, UK, on November 10, 2026.
Both events currently feature the same lineup, with Marshmello as the headliner and Alison Wonderland as the supporting act.
Marshmello Is Headlining
Electronic music superstar Marshmello will headline both Pokémon Night Out events.
He’ll be joined by Australian electronic music artist Alison Wonderland, making the lineup an interesting mix of international EDM talent.
The combination of Pokémon visuals and a full-scale electronic music performance is certainly something we haven’t seen from Pokémon on this scale before.
Pokémon Will Come To Life Through Animation
One of the biggest selling points of Pokémon Night Out is the technology being used throughout the experience.
Pokémon says the event will use cutting-edge technology and animation to bring Pokémon to life in ways fans haven’t seen before.
The teaser gives us a small glimpse of what this could look like, with Pokémon appearing alongside colourful neon effects and massive visual displays.
And with characters such as Pikachu, Gengar and Mewtwo featuring prominently in the event’s promotional artwork, there should be plenty of familiar faces appearing throughout the show.
There’s Exclusive Pokémon Night Out Merchandise
Of course, it wouldn’t be a major Pokémon event without some exclusive merchandise.
A dedicated Pokémon Night Out merchandise shop powered by Pokémon Center will be available at the events.
The merchandise includes:
- Pokémon Night Out T-shirts
- A Pokémon Night Out poster
- A bucket hat
- A tote bag
- Collectible pins
- A location-exclusive pin
The clothing features the Pokémon Night Out logo, while several of the other items feature Pokémon surrounded by the event’s distinctive neon artwork.
And yes, there’s a catch for collectors.
What About Australia?
Unfortunately, Australia isn’t currently listed as one of the Pokémon Night Out locations.
The official event website currently lists only:
October 24, 2026 — Intuit Dome, Los Angeles
November 10, 2026 — The O2 Arena, London
So Australian fans wanting to experience Pokémon Night Out in person will currently have to travel overseas.
It’s a shame because an event like this would be pretty incredible in Australia — especially considering Alison Wonderland is Australian.
Tickets Are Still Available for London
Pokémon says tickets are still available for the London event, with prices starting at £55 before fees.

A Very Different Pokémon Experience
Pokémon has spent 30 years building one of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, so it’s pretty cool to see the company experimenting with something completely different for the anniversary.
Pokémon Night Out isn’t a Pokémon game tournament, TCG event or traditional fan convention.
It’s essentially a giant Pokémon-themed EDM concert and visual experience.
And with Marshmello performing, Alison Wonderland joining him and Pokémon being projected through massive animated displays, it could end up being one of the most unusual — and memorable — events of the Pokémon 30th anniversary.
Now we just need Pokémon to announce one for Australia.
