Shiny Volcanion Distribution Now Live in Pokémon HOME

The Pokémon Company has launched a new Mythical Pokémon distribution in Pokémon HOME, giving dedicated players a rare reward for completing one of the franchise’s biggest Pokédex challenges.

Players can now obtain a Shiny version of Volcanion — marking the first time this alternate-colour variant has ever been officially made available.

How to Unlock Shiny Volcanion

Unlike standard Mystery Gift distributions, this reward requires players to fully complete the Pokédex in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

To qualify, players must:

• Complete all Pokédex entries in the base game
• Complete the Pokédex for the “Mega Dimension” DLC
• Capture or obtain every required Pokémon within Pokémon Legends: Z-A
• Transfer all of those Pokémon into Pokémon HOME

Once these requirements are met, players will be able to receive Shiny Volcanion as a reward.

A Major Milestone Reward

This distribution stands out as one of the most demanding unlocks yet, requiring full completion of both the base game and its expansion content.

For many players, this effectively serves as a “true completion” reward for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, encouraging Trainers to catch and transfer every Pokémon available in the game.

First Official Release of Shiny Volcanion

While Volcanion has appeared in previous distributions, its Shiny form has never been officially released until now.

That makes this event particularly significant for collectors and long-time fans, as it finally allows players to obtain a legitimate Shiny Volcanion without relying on unofficial methods.
