Pokémon Center Bangkok Officially Announced for Thailand in 2026
The Pokémon Company has officially announced a brand-new permanent Pokémon Center store for Thailand.
Named Pokémon Center BANGKOK, the new store is set to open sometime later in 2026 inside the massive CentralWorld shopping complex in Bangkok. The announcement marks another major expansion for Pokémon retail outside Japan.
When it opens, Pokémon Center Bangkok will become the third permanent Pokémon Center outside Japan, following the existing locations in Pokémon Center Singapore and Pokémon Center Taipei.

Located Inside CentralWorld Bangkok
The new store will be located inside CentralWorld, one of the biggest shopping and lifestyle complexes in Thailand and a major tourist destination in Bangkok.
According to reports from Thai media and Pokémon representatives, the company chose Bangkok due to Thailand’s growing Pokémon fanbase and the city’s importance as a tourism hub in Southeast Asia.
Some reports are even calling it the largest Pokémon Center outside Japan once completed.
What Fans Can Expect
While The Pokémon Company has not yet shown the final store layout, fans can likely expect many of the same features seen at other Pokémon Centers around the world, including:
- Exclusive Pokémon merchandise
- Plush toys and figures
- Pokémon Trading Card Game products
- Apparel and homewares
- Life-sized Pokémon statues
- Interactive displays and themed decorations
- Community events and tournaments
Several outlets have also suggested Thailand-exclusive merchandise is highly likely, similar to the region-exclusive items sold in Singapore and Taipei.
Pikachu in Traditional Thai Clothing Revealed
During the signing ceremony announcing the store, Pikachu appeared wearing traditional Thai clothing — something many fans believe hints at the local mascot design and exclusive merch style the Bangkok store may use.

That follows the tradition of overseas Pokémon Centers embracing local culture through themed decorations and region-specific Pokémon products.
Pokémon’s Southeast Asia Expansion Continues
The announcement also comes shortly after Pokémon Center Singapore revealed major renovation plans for its store at Jewel Changi Airport.
With Bangkok now joining Singapore and Taipei, Pokémon’s official retail presence across Asia continues to grow rapidly.
For Pokémon fans in Thailand, this is a huge moment. Instead of needing to import goods or travel overseas, they’ll finally have their own permanent Pokémon Center packed with official merchandise and events.
Honestly, this feels like another sign that Pokémon is investing harder than ever into Southeast Asia — and hopefully Australia eventually gets some love too.
