Pokémon Center Customers in the UK and Germany Affected by Data Breach
Pokémon Center customers in the United Kingdom and Germany have been caught up in a data breach involving CEVA Logistics, a shipping and logistics company used to help deliver orders for Pokémon Center in Europe.
The incident has reportedly resulted in some customers having their personal information exposed, while affected Pokémon Center orders have also been cancelled.
What Information Was Involved?
According to notifications sent to affected customers, the information involved in the breach may include:
- Full names
- Mailing addresses
- Phone numbers
- Email addresses
- Details about the contents of their orders
Thankfully, payment information was not included, as this information was not shared with CEVA Logistics.
The Pokémon Company is reportedly investigating the situation and remains in contact with CEVA to receive updates and understand how further incidents can be prevented.
Some Pokémon Center Orders Have Been Cancelled
One of the most frustrating parts of the situation for affected customers is that some orders have been cancelled as a result of the breach.
Customers whose orders were cancelled were not charged, and affected customers have reportedly been offered a 20% discount code valid until November 30 as compensation.
However, this may not be much comfort for collectors who had ordered limited or highly sought-after items.
With Pokémon celebrating its 30th Anniversary, 2026 has already seen plenty of special merchandise released through Pokémon Center. Some customers may now find that the products they originally ordered are sold out by the time they are able to place another order.
CEVA Logistics Was the Target
The breach was reportedly connected to CEVA Logistics, rather than Pokémon Center’s payment systems.
CEVA provides logistics services for a number of major companies and was responsible for handling customer information needed to fulfil and deliver certain Pokémon Center orders.
The incident has raised concerns for affected customers, particularly due to the amount of personal contact and delivery information involved.
At this stage, Pokémon Center customers in the UK and Germany who believe they may have been affected should keep an eye on their email accounts for official communications regarding their orders and personal information.
It is also a good reminder to be cautious of unexpected emails, messages or phone calls claiming to be related to Pokémon Center or delivery companies, as exposed contact details could potentially be used in phishing attempts.
For now, affected customers are waiting to see whether their cancelled orders can be placed again, although for collectors chasing limited Pokémon merchandise, there is no guarantee those items will still be available.
