Pokémon Center Japan Releases Mega Greninja, Mega Starmie, Mega Lucario Z & Mega Zeraora Plushies
The Pokémon Center Japan has expanded its growing lineup of Mega Evolution merchandise with four brand-new plushies, and one of them is already stealing the spotlight for all the right reasons.
Joining the collection are Mega Greninja, Mega Starmie, Mega Lucario Z, and Mega Zeraora, giving fans even more Mega Evolutions to collect as excitement continues to build around Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary celebrations.
While all four plushies have been popular, it’s Mega Starmie that has unexpectedly become the fan favourite—and perhaps the funniest Pokémon plush of the year.
Four New Mega Evolution Plushies
The latest wave includes:
- Mega Greninja
- Mega Starmie
- Mega Lucario Z
- Mega Zeraora
Each plush faithfully recreates the Mega Evolution designs seen throughout Pokémon’s latest games and promotional artwork, making them ideal display pieces for collectors.
As with previous Pokémon Center plush releases, international fans are expected to be able to purchase them through Amazon Japan and proxy shipping services in the near future.
Mega Starmie Has the Internet Laughing
Out of the four releases, Mega Starmie has become the unexpected star of the collection.
Unlike the others, the plush gives Mega Starmie a pair of oversized dangling legs to help it sit upright on shelves. The result is… well… absolutely hilarious.
Fans across social media have been sharing photos and memes of the plush, with many joking that it looks more like it’s waiting at a bus stop than floating through the ocean.
