Pokémon Pokopia Bubbly Basin Icons Coming to Nintendo Switch Online
Pokémon Pokopia fans will soon be able to bring a little bit of the Bubbly Basin expansion to their Nintendo Switch profiles.
Nintendo has announced a new collection of Pokémon Pokopia-themed icon elements coming to the Nintendo Switch Online Missions & Rewards program, with the first wave becoming available from August 5, 2026.
The rewards are based around the newly released Bubbly Basin content and can be redeemed using My Nintendo Platinum Points.
Available for a Limited Time
The Pokémon Pokopia icon elements will be available on a rotating schedule, meaning fans won’t be able to grab every design at once.
The rewards will rotate weekly from August 5 through September 2, 2026, giving Nintendo Switch Online members several opportunities to collect different designs.
That means if you see an icon, background or frame you particularly like, it’s worth grabbing it before the weekly rotation changes.
Inspired by Bubbly Basin
The new rewards tie directly into Bubbly Basin, the first paid expansion for Pokémon Pokopia.
Bubbly Basin introduces a brand-new underwater area to the game, along with a new town, additional Pokémon, furniture, building materials and other content.
The expansion launched on August 5, 2026, alongside a free update for all Pokémon Pokopia players that introduces the Dive ability.
Players can learn Dive from Manaphy and use it to explore previously inaccessible underwater areas.
How to Get the Icons
Nintendo Switch Online members can access the Missions & Rewards section of the Nintendo Switch Online app and redeem their Platinum Points for the available Pokémon Pokopia icon elements.
The rewards can include the different elements used to customise your Nintendo Switch profile, allowing players to create a Pokémon Pokopia-themed profile featuring characters and artwork from the game.
Nintendo has previously used the same system to offer limited-time Pokémon rewards, making these another fun little collectible for Pokémon fans.
Don’t Wait Too Long
The important thing to remember is that these aren’t permanent rewards.
The Pokémon Pokopia icon elements will rotate weekly, with the promotion currently scheduled to run until September 2.

The timing of the rewards couldn’t be better, with Bubbly Basin now expanding the Pokémon Pokopia experience.
Nintendo’s Australian website describes the Expansion Pass as providing three separate content drops, with Bubbly Basin being the first.
The first expansion adds the underwater town and new adventures, while Nintendo has also teased the second part of the Expansion Pass, which is planned for later in 2026.
