Pokémon Pokopia Nintendo Switch 2 Bundle Announced for Australia and New Zealand
Nintendo has officially announced a new Pokémon Pokopia Nintendo Switch 2 bundle for Australia and New Zealand.
The bundle will launch on June 5th, 2026 and includes:
- A standard Nintendo Switch 2 console
- A digital copy of Pokémon Pokopia
At the time of writing, this bundle has only been confirmed for Australia and New Zealand, with no word yet on releases in other regions.
Not Quite the Special Edition Fans Were Hoping For
When many fans first heard rumours of a Pokémon Pokopia Switch 2, there was excitement that Nintendo might finally be releasing a fully themed Pokémon console again.
Unfortunately, this appears to be more of a standard bundle pack rather than a true limited-edition Pokémon system.
The console itself is just a regular Nintendo Switch 2, with the only Pokémon-themed element being the packaging box and included game code. There are currently no special Joy-Con colours, dock artwork, or custom console designs included.
That makes it very similar to the recently announced Pokémon Legends: Z-A Switch 2 bundle, which also featured standard hardware with themed packaging.
Fans Still Hoping for a Real Pokémon Switch 2
Many longtime Pokémon fans are still hoping Nintendo eventually releases a fully customised Pokémon Switch 2 console.
The last major Pokémon-themed Nintendo console launch was the Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! Nintendo Switch system back in 2018, which featured custom Joy-Cons and exclusive dock artwork.
Since then, Pokémon console bundles have mostly been limited to packaging and included software rather than unique hardware designs.
Still, for players who have not yet upgraded to a Switch 2, the Pokémon Pokopia bundle may still be a nice way to jump into Nintendo’s new system alongside one of Pokémon’s latest releases.
