A brand-new limited-time event has arrived in Pokémon Pokopia, giving players a new way to unlock special items and befriend a fan-favourite Pokémon.
The event, titled “Sableye’s Gem Hunt”, is now live and will run until May 14th, 2026.
Sableye Appears in Town
During the event, Sableye will begin appearing in town, offering players a unique trade system.
Instead of standard items, Sableye is looking for Red Crystal Fragments, which can be exchanged for special furniture items.
These exclusive items aren’t just decorative — they can be used to build specific habitats that allow players to permanently befriend Sableye in their game.
How to Get Red Crystal Fragments
To participate in the event, players will need to collect Red Crystal Fragments.
These can be obtained by:
- Visiting Dream Islands
- Using special exploration mechanics tied to Drifloon’s abilities
This encourages players to explore different islands and make the most of Pokopia’s daily exploration systems.
Unlock Sableye as a Permanent Companion
By trading enough Red Crystal Fragments for the required furniture, players can create the correct habitat setup needed to unlock Sableye as a permanent Pokémon in their world.
