Gusto x Pokémon 30th Anniversary Campaign Begins April 23rd in Japan
Japanese family restaurant chain Gusto has announced a new collaboration with Pokémon to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary.
The campaign begins on April 23rd and introduces a range of special Pokémon-themed menu items available exclusively for dine-in customers.
Each themed meal comes with original Pokémon merchandise, although customers are limited to one menu item with bonus goods per person.
Sales begin from 10:30 AM each day.
Pokémon-Themed Menu Items Revealed
The collaboration features several dishes inspired by iconic Pokémon and their signature traits.
One of the main items is a Cheese IN Hamburg steak wrapped in foil. Diners use a Pikachu tail-shaped cutter to open the wrapper, revealing melted cheese and demi-glace sauce inside.

Another featured dish combines rich meat sauce pasta with spiral-cut potatoes inspired by swirling flames, creating a dramatic “vortex” presentation.

There is also a taco rice dish inspired by a Grass-type leaf attack, featuring spicy meat, vegetables, tortilla chips, and rice.

The menu appears designed to turn each meal into a small Pokémon-themed adventure, matching the campaign’s slogan of “A delicious adventure begins at Gusto.”
Exclusive Merchandise Included
Each eligible meal includes exclusive Pokémon-themed merchandise, though the exact bonus items have not yet been fully detailed.
As with many Japanese Pokémon restaurant collaborations, the bonus items are expected to feature limited-edition artwork tied to the Pokémon 30th anniversary celebration.

Because the items are limited and only available while stocks last, fans planning to visit may want to go early.

Dine-In Only Campaign
The campaign is only available at participating Gusto locations in Japan and is restricted to dine-in orders.
Takeaway and delivery are not eligible for the promotion.
With Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations continuing throughout 2026, the Gusto collaboration is shaping up to be another fun way for fans in Japan to enjoy special themed food and collectible merchandise.
