Double Battles Under Regulation Set M-C
The 2027 Global Challenge II will use Regulation Set M-C and Double Battles. Players will need to prepare their teams according to the competition’s rules and eligible Pokémon list.
The complete list of eligible Pokémon, regulations, ranking announcements and additional competition details will be available through the in-game news.
As an official Global Challenge event, the competition gives players an opportunity to compete online while working towards Championship Points for the Pokémon World Championships.
Male Basculegion Available as a Participation Reward
Players who complete at least three matches, regardless of whether they win or lose, will qualify for an in-game distribution reward: a male Basculegion.
Once the ranking results are available, eligible players can claim their Basculegion through their in-game mailbox.
To find the ranking results, navigate to Battle → Online Competitions in Pokémon Champions. The reward provides an additional incentive for players to participate, even if they are not aiming for the top of the rankings.
How to Earn Championship Points
Players hoping to earn Championship Points must complete some additional account-linking steps before registering.
You will need to:
- Have a Pokémon Trainer Central account before registering for the competition.
- Link your account through the Play! Pokémon Access app.
- Keep the accounts linked until after rewards have been distributed.
- Enter your Pokémon Champions Support ID into Play! Pokémon Access.
Players who unlink their accounts later will retain any Championship Points they have earned.
Account linking is not required for players who simply want to enter the competition and battle without being eligible for Championship Points.
