The Pokémon Fossil Museum is coming to Japan!

The Japan Museum of Nature and Science have joined forces with the Pokémon Company to bring a Pokémon Fossil Museum Exhibition. The Exhibition will start at the Mikasa City Museum and move around to other Museums around Japan throughout the year. The exhibition will open on July 4th 2021 and will continue at other Museums until Summer 2022.

Researcher Daisuke Aiba created this Exhibition with the theme being fossils and Pokemon fossils from our favourite Pokemon games. At the same time we can enjoy learning about paleontology by comparing the Fossil Pokémon with fossils and paleontology found in our real world and discover the similarities and differences. Take the tour of the exhibition and you will be guided by Professor Kaseki (Fossil Professor) from the Pokémon world with their assistant Excavation Pikachu.

Lets have a look at what images they have released so far.

After the 20th of Sept the Exhibition will move from Mikasa City Museum in Hokkaido, Shimane Nature Museum of Mt. Sanbe Sahimel, then National Museum of Nature and Science, Tokyo, and finally Toyohashi Museum of Natural History, Aichi.
