A little update on the next New Pokemon Anime!
It’s impressive to see the longevity and impact that the Pokemon anime has had, with Ash and Pikachu serving as the main protagonists for 25 years. The news of Ash’s retirement and the introduction of new protagonists Rika and Roy, along with the ninth-generation starter Pokemon, has certainly generated a mixed response among fans. It’s understandable that many are nostalgic for Ash as the main character, but it’s also exciting to see the franchise evolve with a new story and characters.
The Pokemon Company is doing a great job of keeping fans engaged by updating its Pokemon TV service with past seasons of the anime, allowing fans to revisit Ash’s journey. The special episode collection, “Pokemon Ultimate Journeys: The Series,” serves as a final send-off to Ash and Pikachu, and fans will be able to watch the nine-episode series until March 10.
It’s the end of an era, but the future looks bright with the new Pokemon series set to air in Japan on April 14, 2023. Fans are looking forward to the new adventure in the Paldean region with Rika and Roy at the helm.
