Pokémon x Karaoke Manekineko 30th Anniversary Collaboration Announced for Japan
Japanese karaoke chain Karaoke Manekineko has announced a major collaboration with Pokémon to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary.
The event will run from April 24th through June 14th, 2026, beginning at 1:00 PM on the first day.
The theme of the collaboration focuses on Pokémon whose Japanese names contain “Neko” or “Nya”, gathering together “at Manekineko”. Fans can expect themed drinks, merchandise, a singing campaign, and special collaboration rooms.
Collaboration Drinks and Merchandise
During the event, participating Manekineko locations will offer a range of Pokémon-themed drinks and goods.
The special menu must be ordered through the “Manechu” feature in the Manekineko app while using a karaoke room. The collaboration menu is not available for takeaway.
Themed menu items and bonus goods are available only while supplies last, and some stores may not offer the full range.
Customers are limited to five collaboration menu items per order, although multiple orders can be made during a visit.
Special Singing Campaign
The collaboration also includes a Pokémon-themed singing campaign.
Customers who wish to participate must mention this when checking in. Participants will receive exclusive digital wallpapers, though these are intended for personal use only.
The campaign works with compatible DAM and JOYSOUND karaoke systems, including:
- JOYSOUND X1, MAX GO, MAX2, and MAX
- LIVE DAM WAO!, AiR, Ai, STADIUM STAGE, and STADIUM
Collaboration Rooms Available at 45 Stores
Special Pokémon collaboration rooms will be available at 45 participating Manekineko locations across Japan.
The rooms feature Pokémon-themed decorations and come with one exclusive clear file for each guest.
Reservations for the collaboration rooms open on April 20th at 6:00 PM.
Unlike regular karaoke rooms, collaboration rooms require an additional fee on top of the usual room charge. Package plans are also available at more than 100 participating stores.
Children in elementary school and younger receive a discount for both the collaboration rooms and package plans.
A Pokémon Celebration Full of “Neko” and “Nya”
While the full list of featured Pokémon has not yet been revealed, the collaboration is expected to spotlight Pokémon such as:
- Meowth
- Skitty
- Glameow
- Litten
The collaboration looks set to be another major part of Pokémon’s ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations in Japan, combining themed food, karaoke, and exclusive goods for fans.
