Good-Night Ribbon Comes to Pokémon Sleep in August 2024
Pokémon has announced an exciting new feature coming next month to Pokémon Sleep: the Good-Night Ribbon. This special ribbon will be available for players to collect in the mobile game, which has been accompanying fans in their dreams for just over a year.
New Collectible: Good-Night Ribbon
On the Pokémon’s official YouTube channel, they revealed the ‘Good-Night Ribbon’, a new collectible for your favorite sleeping companion in Pokémon Sleep. Described as “a special ribbon for that special Pokémon who’s always by your side, day and night,” this ribbon is sure to delight fans of the game.
Ribbons in Pokémon Series
Ribbons have been a beloved feature in the Pokémon series since their debut in the third generation with Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire. Players have enjoyed collecting these ribbons on their Pokémon and transferring them to future games. The Good-Night Ribbon seems to be the latest addition to this tradition, although there are some uncertainties regarding its functionality.
Connectivity Concerns
Currently, Pokémon Sleep does not have connectivity with Pokémon Home, the service that allows players to transfer Pokémon between games on their Nintendo Switch. This raises questions about whether the Good-Night Ribbon will be transferable to other games like Pokémon Scarlet and Violet in Paldea, Pokémon Legends: Arceus in Hisui, or other regions like Sinnoh and Galar. It remains to be seen if Pokémon Sleep will gain this connectivity in the future or if the ribbons will be limited to the mobile app.
As the Good-Night Ribbon becomes available in August, players will have to wait and see how it will integrate with the broader Pokémon ecosystem. In the meantime, this new feature adds an extra layer of fun to Pokémon Sleep, encouraging players to keep their favorite Pokémon by their side, day and night.
