Exclusive designs feature Pokémon helpers from the café!
The Pokémon Company has announced a delightful refresh for the Pokémon Café in Japan. Starting Friday, November 21st, 2025, guests will be treated to new exclusive placemat and drink coaster designs that celebrate the Pokémon who help out around the café.
Fresh New Designs
The placemats, which are provided at each table, will showcase adorable illustrations of Pokémon café helpers. Meanwhile, every drink order will come with one of six new randomly distributed coasters, each featuring a unique Pokémon design.
(Note: coaster designs are distributed at random, and guests cannot choose which design they receive.)
Farewell to Current Menu Items
Ahead of the update, several fan-favorite menu items will be discontinued on November 20th, including:
- Mega Evolution! Charizard’s Flamethrower Curry Plate
- Mega Altaria’s Fluffy Rare Cheesecake
- Choose Your Own Pokémon Latte with a Mega Evolution Design

Fans are reminded that advance reservations are required to dine at the Pokémon Café. Reservations can be made exclusively online through the official website — phone bookings are not accepted.
