Pokémon Center Japan Releases Ceramic Ornaments for Pikachu and Ponyta
Pokémon fans in Japan can now celebrate the season with elegant new ceramic decorations. Starting Saturday, November 29th, Pokémon Centers will offer ceramic ornaments and bell-style ceramic ornaments featuring Pikachu and Ponyta.
The ornaments are produced in collaboration with Yakushigama, a brand from the renowned ceramic crafts manufacturer Chugai Touen Co., Ltd., known for its high-quality seasonal and auspicious decorations. Each piece is carefully handcrafted by skilled artisans, ensuring both beauty and durability.
The standard ceramic ornaments feature Pikachu and Ponyta, complete with a gold folding screen, making them ideal as New Year’s decorations. The bell-style ornaments showcase Pikachu and Lishan, emitting a gentle, calming bell sound when shaken. Both designs are based on illustrations by the acclaimed illustrator Atsuko Nishida, celebrated for her work on Pikachu and various other Pokémon designs across games, cards, and media.
The Pokémon Center Online will begin sales at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 27th, allowing fans to secure these beautifully crafted seasonal collectibles ahead of the physical release.

- Chugai Touen & Yakushigama: Founded in 1952, Chugai Touen specializes in auspicious ornaments and seasonal decorations. Yakushigama, located in Seto City—a historic hub of Japanese pottery—uses traditional Seto techniques passed down since the Meiji era to create modern Japanese decorative items.
