Pokémon Champions Launching April 2026 on Nintendo Switch
The Pokémon Company has announced the release window for Pokémon Champions on Nintendo Switch. The new title is scheduled to launch in April 2026, bringing the battle-focused Pokémon experience to console players.
Pokémon Champions is designed around competitive battling, allowing players to focus on strategic Pokémon battles rather than exploration or story-driven gameplay. The game aims to bring together mechanics from across the Pokémon series into a dedicated battle platform.
While the Nintendo Switch version will release first in April, a mobile version of Pokémon Champions is also planned for release later in 2026, though a specific launch date has not yet been confirmed.
The game is expected to feature online battles, allowing players to challenge trainers around the world. It will also support Pokémon transfers through Pokémon HOME, letting players bring in their trained Pokémon from other compatible titles.
Pokémon Champions was originally revealed during the franchise’s ongoing 30th anniversary celebrations and is intended to become a central hub for competitive Pokémon battles across multiple platforms.
More details about gameplay features and supported Pokémon are expected to be revealed closer to the game’s launch.
