Pokémon Pokopia Train and Ads

Pokémon Pokopia Ads Appear in Shibuya and on Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line

The Pokémon Company has launched a large-scale advertising campaign across Tokyo to promote the newly released Pokémon Pokopia, with promotions appearing in some of the city’s busiest locations.

Shibuya Building Takeover

One of the most noticeable parts of the campaign can be seen in Shibuya, where large Pokémon Pokopia advertisements have appeared on the sides of several major buildings.

Locations featuring the ads include the famous Shibuya 109 Building and QFRONT, both of which sit near the iconic Shibuya Crossing. The displays feature the game’s logo along with several of the main characters from Pokémon Pokopia, making them highly visible to the thousands of people passing through the area every day.

Shibuya is often used for major entertainment promotions due to its huge crowds and massive digital billboards, making it a prime location for Pokémon’s latest marketing push.

Ditto Takes Over the Tokyo Metro

The campaign also extends to the Tokyo Metro, where Ditto has taken over the Hanzomon Line.

The Hanzomon Line was likely chosen because its official line color is a purple shade similar to Ditto, making it a fitting theme for the promotion. Trains running along the line have been decorated with Pokémon Pokopia visuals, and inside the carriages passengers can find Ditto-faced handgrips, turning the commute into a small Pokémon-themed experience.

Celebrating the Release of Pokémon Pokopia

With Pokémon Pokopia now officially released, these promotions help celebrate the game’s launch and bring the Pokémon world into everyday locations across Tokyo.

Japan is well known for its creative Pokémon marketing campaigns, and the Shibuya billboards and Ditto-themed train decorations are another example of how the franchise continues to turn real-world locations into fun Pokémon experiences for fans.
