New Pokémon Local Acts Plushies and Mascots Revealed for April 2026
The Pokémon Company and San-ei Trading Co., Ltd. have announced a brand-new lineup for the ongoing Pokémon Local Acts merchandise series.
The new release includes the fifth wave of “Pokémon Local Acts Favorite Pokémon Plushies” as well as the very first wave of “Pokémon Local Acts Favorite Pokémon Mascots”. Both collections will launch in Japan on April 24th, 2026.
Hokkaido Vulpix Plushies Join the Lineup
The newest plush toys in the series are based on the mascots of Hokkaido’s “Daisuki Discovery Team”:
- Vulpix
- Alolan Vulpix

Both plushies are designed around the versions of Vulpix that represent Hokkaido in the Pokémon Local Acts campaign. The regular Vulpix highlights the classic Fire-type Pokémon, while Alolan Vulpix reflects the colder, snowy side of the region.
Each plush stands around 23cm tall and continues the same soft, stylised design as the previous Local Acts releases.
Chansey Becomes the First Local Acts Mascot
Alongside the new plushies, the first-ever Pokémon Local Acts mascot has also been revealed. The inaugural mascot features Chansey, which serves as Fukushima’s support Pokémon.

The smaller mascot plush is around 9cm tall, making it easy to attach to bags or display alongside the larger plush collection.
Part of the Pokémon Local Acts Campaign
The Pokémon Local Acts campaign pairs different Pokémon with regions across Japan to help promote tourism and local culture. Previous plush releases in the series have included Pokémon such as Ampharos for Nagasaki, Exeggutor for Miyazaki, and Gardevoir for Okinawa.
The new Vulpix, Alolan Vulpix, and Chansey items will first be sold early at the Fukushima venue of the Pokémon Local Acts Product Fair. After that, they will gradually roll out to stores in the regions represented by each Pokémon.
With the Local Acts range continuing to grow, fans can likely expect even more regional Pokémon plushies and mascots in the future.
