Pokémon x Target 30th Anniversary Collection Revealed For May 2026

Target has announced a huge new Pokémon collection to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary.

The limited-time range will launch in Target stores across the United States on May 2nd, before arriving online on May 3rd. A second wave of exclusive items is also planned for June 6th. At this stage, the collection has only been announced for Target stores in the United States, with no word yet on an Australian or international release.

The collection includes more than 100 different products spanning clothing, accessories, homewares, stationery and grocery items. The campaign is being fronted by Joe Jonas and leans heavily into 1990s nostalgia, with collaborations featuring classic brands such as Lip Smacker and Mead. View the online website here!

Nostalgic Pokémon Clothing and Accessories

Among the biggest items in the range is a vintage-style Starter pullover jacket inspired by the Kanto region. The jacket features hidden embroidered Gym Badge details under the front flap, making it one of the more subtle pieces for longtime fans.

Other clothing and accessories include:

  • A large oversized Gengar t-shirt
  • An embroidered Eevee cap
  • A red reusable tote featuring Charmander
  • A Pokémon-themed crossbody travel bag
  • A Great Ball zipper charm that can store small items

Fans of retro school gear will also be able to pick up new Pokémon-themed Trapper Keepers from Mead. Designs confirmed so far include Charizard, Mew, Gengar and Arcanine.

Lip Smacker and Other Throwback Collaborations

One of the most nostalgic parts of the collection is the collaboration with Lip Smacker.

The Pokémon x Lip Smacker set includes eight themed lip balms inspired by different Pokémon, including Bulbasaur and Jigglypuff, along with a separate Pikachu roll-on lip gloss.

There is also a set of six butterfly-style hair clips inspired by Butterfree, perfectly matching the return of late-90s and early-2000s fashion trends.

Mystery Bottles and Gaming Accessories

The collection also includes a series of mystery Water-type Pokémon bottles. Each comes in a sealed box containing one of eight possible Water-type Pokémon designs, making them a fun surprise for collectors.

For gaming setups, there is also a Pokémon wireless keyboard featuring bright colours and multiple wireless modes, designed for use with a computer or gaming desk.

Overall, this looks to be one of the biggest Pokémon retail collaborations of the franchise’s 30th anniversary celebrations so far, especially for fans who grew up with Pokémon during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Unfortunately for Australian fans, for now it appears this one is exclusive to the US Target chain.

Additional Items Revealed

Since the collection was first announced, Target has also revealed a new range of Pokémon sports balls as part of the collaboration. These include a Master Ball kickball, along with basketballs themed after the standard Poké Ball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball and Master Ball.

The Master Ball version in particular is already proving popular online, and looks set to be one of the standout items in the Pokémon x Target range. Remember that, like the rest of the collection, these appear to be exclusive to Target stores in the United States.
