Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide and Limited Edition Box Set Now Available for Pre-Order in US and Canada
A brand-new premium Pokémon collector’s book is now available for pre-order in North America, giving fans a massive hardcover guide celebrating the franchise’s history across every major generation.
The new release is titled Pokémon Deluxe Character Guide, published by Pikachu Press, and it is currently available in two different editions through Amazon and the US Pokémon Center online store.
Standard Deluxe Hardcover Edition
The standard edition features a premium white-and-gold hardcover design complete with gold-edged pages and artwork showcasing Pokémon from across the franchise.
The 336-page guide includes Pokémon from:
- Kanto
- Johto
- Hoenn
- Sinnoh
- Unova
- Kalos
- Alola
- Galar
- Paldea
According to official descriptions, the book contains over 1,000 Pokémon entries, making it one of the largest Pokémon guidebooks released so far.
Honestly, the hardcover itself already looks more like a luxury anniversary art book than a standard Pokémon encyclopedia.

Limited Edition Box Set Collection
Alongside the standard release, a much larger Limited Edition Box Set Collection has also been revealed.
The collector’s edition includes:
- The deluxe hardcover guide
- A high-end multilayered collector’s box
- Certificate of authenticity
- Exclusive Pokémon Trading Card Game playmat
- Two collectible video game art prints
- Two collectible anime art prints
The overall presentation feels very similar to premium anniversary collector editions released for major gaming franchises.

Release Date Confirmed
Both editions are currently scheduled to release on:
- August 25th, 2026
Pre-orders are now live through:
- Amazon US
- Pokémon Center US
US and Canada Only
At the time of writing, both versions appear to only be officially available in the United States and Canada.
Australian fans unfortunately do not currently have official local ordering options, meaning importing will likely be the main way to secure copies.
The standard version had previously appeared quietly on Pokémon Center US, but the full Limited Edition Box Set is now officially listed as well.
Another Massive Pokémon 30th Anniversary Collectible
With Pokémon’s 30th anniversary celebrations continuing throughout 2026, this definitely feels like one of the bigger collector-focused releases announced so far.
Honestly, the gold-edged hardcover already looks incredible enough for display, but that huge collector’s box set feels like one of those Pokémon items fans are going to deeply regret skipping once it eventually sells out.
