Pokémon Sleep Announces “Latios and the Drops of the Heart” Event

The Pokémon Company has officially announced a brand-new two-week event for Pokémon Sleep, featuring the legendary Eon Pokémon Latias and Latios.

The event, titled “Latios and the Drops of the Heart”, will run from June 8th through June 22nd, 2026, and will give players new opportunities to encounter both legendary Pokémon while working together with researchers around the world to restore the mysterious “Drops of the Heart.”

A Global Research Event

According to Professor Neroli, unusual weather conditions have been causing sleep disturbances among Pokémon across several regions. At the same time, the mysterious gem-like “Drops of the Heart”, which share a deep connection with Latias and Latios, have reportedly become clouded and lost their radiance.

Throughout the event, players will help restore the Drops of the Heart by conducting sleep research, gathering event items, and contributing to a global community goal through a special Event Sleep Power system.

As researchers around the world sleep and conduct research, Event Sleep Power will accumulate and contribute towards restoring the legendary artifacts.

Latias and Latios Take Centre Stage

Both Latias and Latios will receive boosted appearance rates during the event, making it one of the best opportunities yet to befriend the legendary duo.

Players who sleep with Latias or Latios on their team will receive a 10% Sleep Power bonus, while those who manage to have both Pokémon on the same team will receive an even larger 30% Sleep Power bonus.

The event will also introduce special event-exclusive items and rewards, including:

  • Latios Incense
  • Latias and Latios Candy
  • Event-exclusive exchange items
  • Special event research rewards

Dragon-Type Pokémon Receive Bonuses

Dragon-type Pokémon will play an important role throughout the event.

During the entire event period:

  • Dragon-type Pokémon will gather one additional ingredient during normal help actions.
  • Dragon-type Pokémon will be 1.5 times more likely to activate their Main Skills.
  • Yache Berry (Dragon-type) will always be one of Snorlax’s preferred berries for the week.

Additional bonuses will be available during each week of the event, with even stronger Main Skill boosts becoming available during Week 2.

Several Dragon-type Pokémon will appear more frequently during sleep research throughout the event.

Featured Pokémon include:

  • Latias

Latios will receive the highest appearance boost during the event.

In addition, Dratini and several other Dragon-types will be available in locations where they do not normally appear.

More Surprises Planned

The Pokémon Company has hinted that Latias and Latios may not yet have revealed their full power.

According to the announcement, researchers who continue progressing through the event may eventually unlock a mysterious new bond-related ability connected to the legendary pair.

For now, details remain secret, but it appears there may be additional surprises waiting during the second half of the event.

This looks set to be one of Pokémon Sleep’s biggest legendary events yet. Between the return of Latias and Latios, boosted Dragon-type Pokémon, special event rewards, and a worldwide community objective, there should be plenty for both casual sleepers and dedicated researchers to look forward to this June.
