Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Package Release Announced for South Korea
Pokémon Pokopia fans in South Korea will soon have another way to add the game’s Expansion Pass to their collection, with Nintendo Korea announcing a physical package release for the DLC.
While it won’t contain a game cartridge or physical copy of the expansion itself, the release is especially interesting for collectors who love having their games and DLC displayed on the shelf.
Launching September 10 in South Korea
The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass package is scheduled to launch in South Korea on September 10, 2026.
The package will contain a download code that can be redeemed through the Nintendo eShop to access the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass.
So, while it is a physical case, buyers should keep in mind that the full Pokémon Pokopia game is not included. The package is specifically for the Expansion Pass and contains a code rather than a cartridge.
Pre-Orders Include Rare PokéMetals
Nintendo Korea is also offering an early purchase bonus for those who pre-order the package.
Early buyers will receive 30 Rare PokéMetals, delivered through a code sent to the Nintendo Account associated with the purchase.
It’s a nice little bonus for players planning to jump into the Pokémon Pokopia expansion content.
A Physical Case for DLC Collectors
At the time of writing, this special Expansion Pass package release has only been announced for South Korea, with no confirmation that similar versions will be released in Australia or other regions.
And honestly, as someone who loves collecting Pokémon games, I would absolutely love to see something like this released in Australia.
Even though it’s only a download code, having each DLC release in its own official physical case would look amazing on a shelf. There is something satisfying about being able to display your Pokémon collection properly, rather than having every expansion exist only as a digital purchase buried inside the eShop.
