Pokémon x Polaroid Special Edition Cameras Announced
Pokémon is teaming up with instant photography brand Polaroid for a brand-new collection of special edition cameras, film and accessories inspired by some of the franchise’s most recognisable Pokémon.
The collection includes designs based on Poké Balls, Pikachu and Sylveon, giving Pokémon fans a colourful new way to capture their memories.
Three Special Edition Cameras
The collaboration includes three Pokémon-themed versions of Polaroid’s latest instant cameras:
Polaroid Now Generation 3 — Pokémon Edition
The larger Polaroid Now Gen 3 receives a design inspired by a classic Poké Ball, featuring the familiar red, white and black colour scheme.
The Now Gen 3 uses full-size Polaroid film and includes features such as two-lens autofocus, a self-timer and double exposure mode.
Polaroid Go Generation 3 — Pikachu Edition
Pikachu gets its own version of the compact Polaroid Go Gen 3, complete with a bright yellow design and Pikachu-inspired details.
One of the coolest touches is the themed strap, which features a lightning bolt-style detail inspired by Pikachu’s tail. The Polaroid Go is Polaroid’s smallest instant camera and supports pocket-sized Go film.
Polaroid Go Generation 3 — Sylveon Edition
Sylveon is also getting its own special edition camera, with a design inspired by the popular Eeveelution’s signature colours.
The camera features a pink, white and blue colour scheme, making it a very different option from the bold yellow Pikachu version and Poké Ball-inspired Now camera.
Pokémon-Themed Film and Accessories
The collaboration isn’t stopping with the cameras.
Pokémon-themed instant film will also be available, including special frames featuring Pokémon such as Pikachu, Sylveon, Charmander, Squirtle, Bulbasaur and more. Some of the film packs will also include collectible protective cards featuring Pokémon silhouettes.
Fans will also be able to pick up matching accessories, including:
- A Poké Ball-inspired camera case
- Pokémon-themed camera straps
- A photo album
- Special Pokémon instant film
Celebrating Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary
The collaboration is another part of the huge range of products and collaborations celebrating Pokémon’s 30th Anniversary in 2026.
From adidas sneakers and special jewellery to Pokémon-themed gaming accessories, this Polaroid collection adds something a little different to the anniversary celebrations.
And honestly, this might be one of my favourite collaborations so far. The Poké Ball Polaroid Now looks especially cool, but the Pikachu and Sylveon versions are perfect for anyone wanting something a little more colourful and collectible.
According to reports, pre-orders are expected to begin in late August in selected markets, with the wider release following in October 2026. Exact availability and dates may vary by region.
