Pokémon Center x European Space Agency Collaboration Launches Space-Themed Merchandise
Pokémon fans with a love of space can now add some out-of-this-world merchandise to their collections, thanks to a special collaboration between The Pokémon Company International and the European Space Agency (ESA).
Announced on October 1, 2026, the collaboration celebrates World Space Week and aims to inspire the next generation of explorers by bringing together Pokémon and space exploration.
The collection includes special astronaut-themed Pikachu plush toys, alongside other space-inspired products available through the Pokémon Center online store.
Astronaut Pikachu Plush Takes Pokémon to Space
One of the highlights of the collaboration is a pair of special Astronaut Pikachu Plush toys inspired by the space missions associated with the European Space Agency.
The plush designs are particularly special because they are based on the Pikachu plush that French astronaut Sophie Adenot took with her to the International Space Station.
There are two versions available:
- Male Astronaut Pikachu: Pikachu wearing a traditional white astronaut spacesuit.
- Female Astronaut Pikachu: Pikachu wearing a blue flight suit.
Fans can choose their favourite design or collect both to create their own little space crew.
Although the newly released plush toys did not travel into space themselves, their designs recreate the look of the Pikachu plush accompanying Sophie Adenot on her space journey.
Celebrating World Space Week
The collaboration arrives ahead of World Space Week, an annual celebration of space science and technology.
By combining the Pokémon brand with the European Space Agency, the initiative aims to encourage curiosity about the universe and inspire younger generations to explore science, technology and space.
