The first episode of Pokèmon Sword and Shield aired yesterday in Japan.
The episode featured when Pikachu was still a Pichu and it’s life before meeting Ash. Pichu was being looked after by a pack of Kangaskahn. We also get to see Ash’s new companion, Gou and why it’s his dream to find Mew.

My personal opinion of this episode; I honestly really enjoyed and will be definitely be continuing to watch it. I like how they showed Pikachu’s life before meeting Ash. The episode set the story for the series out well in my opinion.
