Creatures Promises Greater TCG Production, Imposes Temporary Lottery System

The official Japanese Pokèmon Card Website has posted two announcements that are regarding product shortages.

The first announcement Creatures says they are working to strengthen their production system. They promise to eventually reprint and ship products that are experiencing shortages. This will include the new Eevee Heroes, it’s VMAX Special Set, it’s Pokèmon Center set and the Inteleon and Gengar VMAX decks.

The second announcement states that there will be an online lottery system imposed for future stock of the mentioned products. This is due to the Pokèmon Center website crashing on May 7th when customers were attempting to pre-order Eevee Heroes. ( While they haven’t acknowledged it, it is widely believed that the website crashed due to scalpers using bots to buy out their stock)

Those who were unable to pre-order can full out an application from May 14th at 10 AM to May 18th at 11:59 PM. If you are chosen by random you will be notified by email so you can make your purchase. Emails will start to go out May 26th, the items will be shipped mid June to July.

Creatures also states that previous products will not be sold at physical Pokèmon Center stores. They even removed the product pages from the Pokèmon Center website. The only way to purchase the product will be through their online lottery system. This will be a huge change, but they did state that it is possible they may eventually reintroduce the products back to physical stores.

I've been a fan of Pokèmon since I was 10 years old. My favourite regions are Kanto and Johto as this is what I grew up with. I have room dedicated to Pokèmon collectables and other toys from the 80's and 90's.
