Hatchaton event, CP adjustments, Sinnoh Stone

Today was a day with many exciting news! Let’s get right to them.

CP adjustment

The CP adjustments finally took effect today, November 14, 2018 between 1pm and 2pm PST. They were implemented and quickly reverted on October 15, 2018 presumably because of bugs. This stat rework aims at balancing the game.

Chile Pokestop Nomination

Level 40 trainers in Chile can now participate in the Pokestop Nomination beta feature.

The Sinnoh Stone is live!

The Sinnoh Stone is a new evolution item that will allow some Pokemon to evolve into their new Sinnoh evolutions. The official description reads: “A special stone originally found in the Sinnoh region that can make certain species of Pokémon evolve. It is very tough and has a beautiful sheen.” It curiously looks like a diamond and a pearl together, probably a nod to the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games for Nintendo DS, which introduced the Sinnoh region.

For now, the only way to obtain a Sinnoh Stone is through the Research Breakthrough box. Here is the list of Pokemon that can evolve by using a Sinnoh Stone and 100 candies:

  • Rhydon
  • Magmar
  • Electabuzz
  • Togetic
  • Murkrow
  • Misdreavus
  • Gligar
  • Sneasel
  • Porygon 2
  • Roselia
  • Dusclops

Egg-citing Hatchaton event!

From November 14, 2018 at 1pm PST until November 27, 2018 at 1pm PST, Pokemon such as Rhyhorn, Porygon, Magby (may be shiny) will hatch from 2km eggs.

Also, Shiny Elekid was introduced and may be hatched from 2km eggs.

This egg event is aimed at helping collect candy for Pokemon that gain a new evolution in Generation 4.

New item boxes are available for purchase at the in-game shop, featuring Super Incubators and other items.

Let’s Go connectivity

Pokemon Go is now able to connect to the Nintendo Switch and to the Pokeball Plus accessory. The game is ready for Let’s Go Pikachu and Let’s Go Eevee!
